Terms of sale

These Terms set out the conditions of use for the eSIM sales service offered at jp-esim.net (the “Service”) by Vision Factory LLC (“we”, “us”, the “Company”). By placing an order you agree to these Terms.

1. What we sell

We sell prepaid, data-only eSIM plans for use in Japan. Mobile service is provided by ROKKODE Inc., a telecommunications carrier in Japan, on the KDDI (au) network. In Okinawa, the au network is run by Okinawa Cellular. The plans are for short-term visitors using data in Japan.

This is a data-only eSIM: no phone number, calls, SMS or emergency calls.

These plans do not provide service within the United States. They carry no United States coverage of any kind and are sold for use outside the United States. They do not provide access to 911 or any other emergency calling service in the United States.

2. Formation of the contract

Your contract is with Vision Factory LLC and is formed when you complete checkout and payment is authorized by our payment processor. The line is provided by ROKKODE Inc. under its Japanese-language MVNO terms, which apply to the mobile service.

3. Prices, taxes and payment

Prices are shown in United States dollars for each plan and are exclusive of tax. Any applicable tax is calculated at checkout based on the billing address you provide, and is shown before you pay.

Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.

These are one-time purchases. Nothing on this site enrolls you in a subscription, and we do not automatically renew or recharge any plan. Plans can’t be topped up or extended.

4. Delivery

After payment is confirmed we email you a link to My Page. Your QR code and activation code are shown on My Page when you are ready to install; they are not included in the email. Delivery is electronic only; there is no physical shipment.

Day 1 is the day your eSIM first connects in Japan. Days change at 00:00 Japan time (UTC+9), not 24 hours after you connect. Your plan ends at 23:59 Japan time on the last day. Please start using it by the start-by date we send with your eSIM; if you haven’t connected by then, your days start on that date. Installing it early does not start the plan.

5. Conditions of use

Your phone must support eSIM, be carrier-unlocked, support LTE Band 18 or Band 26 (Band 1 alone isn’t enough), and be allowed for use in Japan. The eSIM is made for smartphones and tablets; routers and other devices aren’t guaranteed.
The eSIM installs once, on one phone. A deleted eSIM can’t be reinstalled or moved to another phone.
Fair use applies to every plan: if your use over the last 3 days is judged excessive, speed may be limited to about 1 Mbps for a while (the threshold isn’t published).

6. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not resell the Service, use it in violation of applicable law, or infringe the rights of the Company or any third party.

8. Export control and sanctions

You may not purchase or use the Service if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or acting on behalf of a person in a country or region subject to comprehensive United States sanctions, or if you are a person listed on any United States restricted-party list. We may cancel and refund any order that we determine would breach these restrictions.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

We are not liable for communication failures or damages arising from the network conditions of the underlying carrier, your device or its configuration, natural events, or other causes beyond our reasonable control.

Where we are liable to you in connection with the Service, and except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the product concerned.

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Personal information

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising in connection with the Service shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Missouri.
